Caden's Quips
Last Sunday Caden's 3rd week as a Sunbeam in Primary. It's crazy that he is in Sunbeams. How is it that he turns 4 this summer? So, trying to be a good mom, I inquired as to what his teacher's (Brother & Sister Jensen) taught him about in Sunbeams (isn't that what a good mom should do??). He looked at me blankly (not what I was expecting from a chatty boy), and simply shrugged his shoulders. "Typical boy," I thought :) We continued our little chat (probably about Super Heroes and sword fighting technique). After a few minutes, Caden put his head in my lap and looked at me very seriously. He asked, "Mom, did you know that Brother Jensen has a TEMPLE IN HIS BODY?" Obviously, he was VERY concerned about why Brother Jensen had a temple IN his body. Trying my very best to take his concern seriously (and not laugh, but remember every detail to post on the blog), I said, "Well, is your temple a body? Is that what he meant?" Caden was not sure. Thus began a lengthy discussion about temples and our bodies. It took some time, but I think we got it all figured out that we don't have actual temples in our bodies, but that our bodies are special, like a temple :) What a funny boy, and what a great chance to sit down and talk to this very smart little boy.

How cute!! Emmy just started sunbeeps too! I don't have the heart to tell her its sunbeams. Are you still running? There is a 1/2 marathon close to my house at the end of this month that is screaming COURTNEY!! My house is ready for you! fyi- the word varification is racester!! Coincidence? I think not~
I love all the cute things that kids say! Caden sounds like a sweet heart. Your apples look delicious by the way!
So funny! I should post a blog about Anna's confusion in her sunbeam class about bodies and bottoms..... It has to do with the teacher constantly telling the kids that they need to sit on their bottoms and trying to teach them about their bodies in the same lesson!
That's so funny! You can always count on kids to help you look at things from another angle.
How sweet! Those are the kinds of things he will love to hear about when he is Ella's age. How he thought we had temples IN our bodies.
Love it!
