Life in fast-forward

It seems like ever since Ms. Katharine joined our family, everything has happened in fast-forward. We have had the lovely pleasure of many Wallace's visiting us (pictures to come). Here is a list of lots of the great things that are helping me cope with our growing family:
1. Kraft Mac-n-Cheese introduced not 1, not 2, but 3 new flavors--Extreme Cheese, Cheddar Explosion, and Grilled Cheese (not my fav). This has saved my life in the cooking world as putting a meal together is requiring a huge effort these days.
2. Chocolate. This has saved my sanity as it seems to be waining along with my memory.
3. Thank you to PBS for producing "The Electric Company", you have made naptime for this mother possible, even if you are only 30 minutes long and I wish you were like 4 hours long.
4. Diet Crush...why do I still love you? Craving you was supposed to be over after pregnancy...what happened?
5. iPod, I really appreciate you helping me kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Running and listening to General Conference...aaahhhh...
6. Husband, where would I be without you?? No real words for this kind of gratitude...just lots of love.
7. Ms. Katharine that smile of yours is FANTASTIC...the chubby cheeks are a close second :)
8. Dexter even though you took over the highchair that was supposed to be for Ms. K, I am so glad for your ingenuity. Sitting in the "The throne" is making meals more appetizing apparently. The doctors will really appreciate you putting on some weight, so will I. Now would really a bad time for Child Protective Services to come to our house.
9. Swaddlers (by Pampers)...you rock.
10. The hope of kindergarten. Coral Cliffs Elementary, you make great bribery for an energetic 5 year old :)

A few more random thoughts:
I am not sure where the days, weeks, and months have gone since April. I don't want to ever forget how crazy and oddly magical this time has been.
The challenge of getting things done (and staying on schedule) is an enormous challenge.
Every store seems to require my children to use the restroom multiple times, what is the deal with that?
Luckily Ms. K is a champ at sleeping through the night and I can get a few things done before all three children are awake.
We have the oddest living arrangement ever, but it will make a great story some day.
The boys seem to be better friends than ever, but why do they still fight so much?? Such a dichotomy.
Caden is more responsible and kind with Katharine than I could have ever hoped for. He really loves this little girl.
Dexter is a ham these days. I really need to be keeping a record of all the Dex'isms that go on.
Shaune is a more helpful father with three kids. It seems that he is quite willing to rise to the challenge of the growing demands on him with the growth of our family. I love and admire him for this.
I have washed 3 blankets and 2 outfits today. Katharine poops a lot...I mean A LOT.
The laundry from 3 days ago is still not folded. I hate folding laundry. This is brutal with all the laundry that needs to be done.
I wish I loved crock-pot dinners, my life would be much easier if I did.
We LOVED having Vern, Dena, Mom, Dad, Uncle Dev, Erin, Trev, Nixon, Ally, Scotia, Linden, Spencer, and Ros come visit us. My kids are lonely without Wallace's around.
Shaune blessed Katharine 2 weeks ago. It was a beautiful blessing. The Spirit was SO strong. I live for those edifying moments where the chaos doesn't exist. What do I need to do to get more moments like this?
The practice continues to grow...phew.
Training for the marathon hasn't been nearly as difficult as I thought it would be with a newborn. Losing weight has been much more difficult that I thought it would be after this newborn.
Nursing makes me feel like I am starving all the time. RRrrrrr....
Our food storage pantry consists of 3 apple boxes of canned goods stored under the stairs. One day, I want a pantry that I can fill with food storage.
We celebrated a lot this last weekend and it felt SO good...Shaune's birthday and Father's Day. These will always be special to me. Having Shaune around to celebrate with reminds me that the most important things in life, aren't things. I sure love that boy and am grateful every day he is alive.
Katharine just blew out of her diaper again...this has got to be my cue to get off the computer, clean her up, and write my talk for sacrament meeting next week :)
More pictures and updates and less ramblings to come...

Sounds a lot like my life right now- except training for the marathon..haha. Life is for sure not boring right now, and I'm loving it and recording it as often as possible :) Great to know that your family is doing so well.

Glad the Wallaces are doing so well! I love having a baby girl in the family, and I know you do too. I have 2 words for you to cure those diaper blowouts- cloth diapers. I also loathe laundry, but cloth diaper laundry is oddly satisfying to me.
