Domestic Goddess

So, here is my attempt at quilting, and actually I should say sewing... my sweet mother-in-law, Audrey, is going to use her fancy-schmancy quilting machine to quilt this for me :) My mom and mother-in-law helped me to make this quilt for our bed at the Wallace Cabin. It is a five-and-dime pattern, basically the easiest quilt pattern that has ever existed :) I have to say though that it was SSOO fun to make! Thanks, Aunt Susan for the fun fabrics that you gave me...can you see those fabrics?
P.S. How do you like my little quilt model? He sure makes it look cozy!

I can't take much more of this!!! All of my friends are drenched with talent. You are a DOMESTIC GODDESS among about 1000 other amazing things! The quilt is darling. Way to go! I'll call Martha and maybe you can be on her next show.

You are such a better blogger than I! The Wallace cabin is beautiful! What a great retreat! Your first attempt at a quilt is really good! Looks great on the cabin bed! As always, I love the pics of your beautiful boys!

I was going to just edit this comment...didn't mean to completely delete the old one...oops!

It's a good thing you mentioned the model. I didn't even see anyone at first.

I want to learn how to do domestic stuff like this. Way to go! It looks great!

Your awesome! My mother in law is also a pro quilter. Isn't it so much fun making your own stuff? It can be a pain but the reward is wonderful--that you did it yourself! I'm with Sarah on this one! Move over Martha! I'm getting off the computer and calling the domestic diva right now!
Congrats on your anniversary! We will be married for 8 years in December! Can you believe it?!? And jon turned 30 in June! Amazing! And we have 3 kids! Oh where does the time go?:)
