I (heart) jellybeans...especially STARBURST jellybeans!! They are SO delish!Anyways, today I am casually browsing the candy aisle of Albertson's because I feel like I earned the right to a treat after a good run this morning (yes, I realize this is why I can't lose weight, don't judge me right now). What to my marveling eyes appears on the shelves of Easter candy??

This could only be the best decision that the Starburst Company EVER made...ramp up the most awesome jellybeans and make them SOUR!
Not only do I (heart) jellybeans, but I (double heart) SOUR candy! This would be my celestial candy for sure!
I almost bought every bag on the shelf, but then quickly remembered my dwindling bank account :) Logic took over and I judiciously bought 1 bag. I have been waiting for my children to go to bed so that I could rip open this bag and fully indulge my taste buds in a night of sour-jelly-beany-goodness. Seriously, I was getting cranky because my kids were not going to bed and I really needed those jellybeans.
The moment FINALLY arrives. The house is quiet. The lights are low. I'm blog-stalking. It's perfect. I sneak to the pantry, find my stealthily hidden bag of GOODNESS, run back to my room, rip it open, take a handful of jellybeans, wait for my mouth to start watering because of the sourness AND.....
NOTHING. Not a single, exploding taste bud of sourness.
Complete utter disappointment.
There was not an ounce of sourness. Ok, maybe a mili-ounce, but that was all.
My heart is still breaking.
It's like waiting for that first kiss, getting it, only to find out that the man you just kissed has NO teeth. Pure disgusting total disappointment.
Don't waste your money if you are in it for the sourness...they taste like regular STARBURST jellybeans.
Beware. Your money and expectations are at risk.

Aw, man! You are my soul sister in the candy department. Starburst jelly beans are my chosen bean, and if I had seen sours, I too would have had thoughts of buying all they had. I ended up at our small local grocery store yesterday in search of Starburst jelly beans and did not find any. I did come home with Sweet Tart jelly beans, though, and while not lip-puckering sour, they are just sour enough, in my opinion.
Bummed out to read the end of the post. I was ready to go buy some. I love sour. Guess I'll have to stick to sour patch kids. Can't go wrong there. Just don't eat too many or it will feel like your tounge will fall off.

Court-I miss you! This post made me laugh out loud. I love sour stuff too...I don't think I knew this about you. We'll have to hunt for sour candy this summer and do taste sampling at the Lake. I've also tried the Sour Starburst Jellybeans and didn't think they were sour at all...maybe we should write the company.
Courtney, you are hilarious! But is milli-ounce really a word? Grape sour patch kids from the byu bookstore, I pretty much lived on those!
I'm not a jellybean fan--but I have to say that I think the starburst flavor ones are yummy! Hey, thanks again for the SCRUMPTOUS cupcakes--I haven't been able to get them off of my brain!!

the marathon is april 18th & i'm getting very excited! tomorrow we are running 18 miles!!!!! after this marathon i want to do some triathlons, so i need to know how to train & where there are some good ones to start on!

Ever since your post I've been on a hunt for regular Starburst Jelly Beans (I forgot how good that green one tasted...the one I stole from Nixon's potty treat jar at the lake). I finally found some last night at the grocery store and turned to Devin eagerly...as he said, "Is this because of Courtney?" Sure is!!! I miss you girl :) See you soon!
I just picked up my first bag of Starburst Jellybeans for the season. I love them also. If you want sweet and sour you should try Sweets brand sweet and sour jelly eggs. They are amazingly good. I think you can probably buy them at Lin's...
