Quick Tip

This photography class is teaching me that I am NOT a natural :) Thank goodness though for some of the great tips/tricks that my instructor has given. These two pictures depict one of the techniques he showed us to add depth and dimension to our pictures. Notice that the focal object is the same (our house)...the top picture is a flat picture taken straight on. The lower picture was taken by simply getting down and at an angle for the same picture of my house. Another difference is notice the horizon. The upper picture has the horizon just flat behind the house. The lower picture angles the horizon just a little bit giving the house a taller appearance. These are a far cry from what Tim Tabor can do, but for you other aspiring, at-home photographers, maybe this quick tip will help. Also, if you have any tips for photography that you use, will you please share?? Thanks!

Yes, I see the depth.... that's a great reminder. Some of my favorite shots of Anna aren't straight on. I'll have to send you one to see sometime:-)Hmmm... or maybe I'll put it on my blog.

I would love to take a photography class. Actually I did in HS, but can't recall much. But now I have so much I want to capture!
