Shaune and I had our first night kid-free since having children last night! Thanks Mom and Dad! So, what did we do for our romantic night alone? Played racquetball at the St. George Rec Center! At least for the first few hours :) Then, Shaune surprised me with a little jogging stroller shopping. After that, we went to dinner at the Gun Barrel for some yummy elk and chicken. We ended the evening at the movies for National Treasure 2. It was a blast to have Shaune all to myself for a fun night of playing and not worrying about the kids. What are some fun dates you have had?

Congratulations! It really is a nice treat isn't it. And it doesn't seem to matter what you do, just that it isn't with the kids. It sounds like you really had a good time.
you seriously haven't gone on a date since you started having kids?
oh, sorry, having viewed the next posting i see that you were gone ALL night. that is a big deal. how fun!
I know that I need to take advantage of these last moments of having Marc to myself before it all changes...too bad I konk out at like 9 pm every night:) haha
I'm glad you guys had a fun night out!
I agree with mama lee! No dates until now. I must be an aweful mom because I leave my kids with sitters all the time!
I think that I should clarify :) We go on dates several times a month...this was just a first overnight leaving the kids with Grandma and Papa :)
Honestly...I cannot remember the last time Mike and I went out without Annie...This is why we must live around family! I am so paranoid about leaving her with anyone!
How wonderful to have a night with just the two of you. I love the taco bell story below. Kids say the funniest things.
Yeah for you! James and I didn't have our first overnight without kids until last May/June after he graduated. Our friends kept the kids for 2 nights and 3 days so we could go to this island off the coast in Lake Erie. We stayed at a B&B and biked around the island, hiked, ate a lot of food. It was just a blast to kick back and just have each other. You realize how it needs to be done more often, huh? I'm so glad you had that chance...it's really healthy for a marriage, I think, even though it's hard to do it often enough. But once a year wouldn't be too bad, huh?
Too funny! Aaron and I just had our first night alone since Abby was born and we went away to a beachside hotel and everything. It was New Year's Day though so all the shops were closed and we ended up back in our hotel early and watching two 1-hour episodes of "First 48 Hours," which is a Homocide Detective show. So much for romance, eh? We're such suckers for murder mystery stuff - demented, I know.
Isn't it nice to have your hubby to yourself? I'm so glad you guys had a good time!
I miss you Court! I want to come to St George & hang out? I am packing right now. C-ya tomorrow! j/k Love ya girl!
I like that several times per month comment. I think I'll hold you to it.
