No longer a blonde

So, I was getting tired of being with the continual hassle of blonde highlights and decided to take action. I'm sure other highlighters, like myself, can sympathize with me. Being blonde takes a lot of time and money and patience to find a good colorist. But, like every other mom in the universe, I just can't spend 3 hours at the salon like I used to. Really quite sad, because I would totally LOVE 3 hours to myself for beautification purposes. Last time I went to the salon, I had a toddler crawling all over me and an infant screaming in his carseat...the poor ladies in the salon, I'm sure they wanted to kill me. Thus, I decided it was time to take matters into my own hands and try a darker shade. A warm brown at Sally's beckoned me to purchase the tantilizingly chocolate color to cover-up my ghetto roots and lifeless, faded blond highlights. It was definitely a shocker to see myself with dark hair, but it was SO worth the $10 investment. I also cut my own hair for the first time. Not nearly as scary as I thought it would be. I will probably alternate between blonde for the summer and brown for the winter. At least it cuts down on my time in the salon by half...I'm sure my colorist will really appreciate that :) Merry Christmas, Opulence Salon :)

LOVING LOVING LOVING the color. However, you would look great in green! Seriously, I feel so tempted to make a Sally's run myself. You look great!

I really like the new shade. I was tempted to do a darker shade the last time I went, but chickened out. It really does look nice.

I did the SAME THING a few months before Gage got here! Ahhh, freedom! Gou look great in brown, by the way. It took me a little while to get used to mine, but I am so glad to be free from ugly roots!
